Parent's Corner

In this complex world, it takes more than a good school to educate children. And it takes more than a good home. It takes these two major educational institutions working together. Studies have indicated that children whose parents and/or other significant adults share in their formal education tend to do better in school. Some benefits that have been identified that measure parental involvement in education includes:

• Long term academic achievement
• Positive attitudes and behavior
• More effective schooling

We have parents’ association, it is a volunteer-driven organization acting as an intermediary between parents and the FIITJEE World School. They support the school in all matters concerning the welfare of the children and acts as a voice expressing the needs and interests of the students. Towards this mission, we recruit volunteers, welcome new families, support student events, organize social events for parents and children, and provide a forum of communication between the parent community and school administration. You can enlighten yourself at our workshops for the just-right parenting, counseling for understanding your child, awareness for how you need to convert yourself to be at the right standpoint to perceive your child.

• Conferences with every parent at least once a year, with follow-ups as needed.
• Weekly or monthly folders of student work are sent home and reviewed, parental comments returned to teacher.
• Parent and student pick-up of report card, with conferences on improving grades.
• Regular schedule of useful notices, memos, phone calls, newsletters, and other communications.
• Clear information on choosing schools, or courses, programs, and activities within schools.
• Clear information on all school policies, programs reforms, and transitions.
